Dinner Boat Cruise Date Night

This weekend I was spoiled…Again! It was mine and Dan’s 5 month anniversary. Once again he planned an entire night out for us from start to finish. It was a perfect night for a boat cruise in Stillwater, dinner, and much more!

It was a Saturday afternoon when we made our way to Stillwater Minnesota where we started our little date night adventure. We checked into our hotel and made our way to downtown Stillwater where we did a little shopping in the cute shops. Souvenirs were everywhere here! We ended up buying each other some bracelets to remember this fun and exciting night. Once we finished up shopping we made our way down to the boat. The great part was that this was all in walking distance!

The cruise we went on was called Stillwater River Boats. Dan had the tickets on his phone and we made our way to the boat. It was very hot out but that didn’t stop us from sitting on the top floor in the back by the big wooden paddle motor. Once the boat was full we took off down the river and Dan and I enjoyed some wine and laughs. We would stand off the back enjoy the view and each other’s company. I felt like the luckiest girl in the world to be going on this date with him. About halfway through the ride, we enjoyed a walleye and brisket meal with cheesecake to top it off, my favorite! As we finished our meal the cruise was coming to an end. But the night didn’t stop after the cruise.

After exiting the boat we walked a little way down the street where we stopped at a restaurant on the river called the Dock Cafe https://www.dockcafe.com/  . This place was amazing in every way. We had amazing and fun drinks and on top of that, the view was great!! We watched these tour guides in little boats that looked like they were from Italy. The night got dark and we then headed off to our next place to explore.

Next, we made our way to the Brick Bourbon Restaurant. This place had AMAZING crazy drinks! I ordered the Double Entendre Martini. This drink was served with cotton candy in the glass and the drink was on the side. Once you were ready you poured the drink over the cotton candy to melt it. The coolest drink I have ever had!! Dan then ordered the cucumber cup which was also amazing and tasted like a Mojito!

We ended our night at the Freight House where we sat outside on their huge patio and had a couple more drinks. They didn’t serve many fun or crazy drinks but the nightlife was great! They had loud and fun music and dancing.

This experience showed me a whole new look on date night. Dan always takes things to the next level for me. I will always remember the great night we had in still water. Maybe someday we could go back for a weekend because there is a ton of things to see.
