Apple River Adventure- Fourth Of July

With the fourth of July falling on a weekday we decided to head to the Apple River in Somerset, Wisconsin for a fun time out on the river. We headed out from St. Cloud, Minnesota late morning and arrived early afternoon to the gates. With our camper towed behind us we found our spot for the weekend and set up camp. It was such a fun atmosphere. With the campground packed the nightlife was nothing short of a fun time. There was a bar within our campsite that all the campers went to when the sun went down. We got up the next morning, ate breakfast, and loaded the bus to purchase our tube rentals. Once we got the where the tubes are at we paid our rental fee and loaded another bus to get to the top of the river. The float was around two hours to get back to our site. We returned out tubes and cooked supper on the grill. We walked around and saw mini cabins you could rent instead of camping if you desired. Each cabin really only had sleeping room so it was not like you could full on cook and hang out in them. Overall it was a fun experience and we definitely will be back!
